Second Harvest Gleaners has been chosen as our Alumni Club's local Food Bank recipient in The BEAT HUNGER BOWL - National Food Drive Challenge being conducted by our national Ohio State University Association, Inc. Either Food Donations or Monetary Contributions will be accepted. Envelopes for Monetary Contributions will be available at Monday's Game Watch or by request from Donna - see list of needed items - which can also be brought to the Game Watch or picked up by contacting Donna to make arrangements ( I am looking for some folks to be a local food collection sites for the K'zoo, Lakeshore, north and east geographical areas that our large Club encompasses)

What is the Beat Hunger Bowl Challenge?
The Challenge is a nationwide food drive being held in conjunction with the Buckeyes' appearance in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 5. Alumni clubs are being asked to help drive this effort at a grassroots level by establishing a relationship with a food pantry in their area and encouraging local alumni to support the cause in the name of Ohio State.
Who else is participating?
In addition to alumni clubs, alumni societies will be asked to assist by adopting a food pantry of their choice, or contributing to the Alumni Association's selected pantry-the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. The general alumni population (both Association members and non-members) will be asked to donate through their local alumni club, their selected alumni society, or to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

Please help show the great Buckeye Spirit that is present here in West Michigan by making a Food or Money Donation to this National Bowl Challenge - deadline is January 30. Please notated The OSU Alumni Club of West Michigan on any donations you make - Second Harvest Gleaners will tabulate and/or weigh our donations for a report to OSUAA in Columbus at the end of the month
