The Buckeyes open the 2010 season with a visit from the Thundering Herd. Marshall and Ohio State will play for only the 2nd time. The first time was on September 11, 2004 when the Buckeyes won on a last second 55-yard field goal from Mike Nugent.
In 2004, Marshall was a member of the MAC conference. They are now members of Conference USA. They also have a new coach this year, Doc Holliday. Marshall finish last season 7-6.
